REGISTERED ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
Jennifer Esquivel-Parker

You are not the challenges that you are experiencing, nor are you defined by them.

Welcome! My name is Jennifer Esquivel-Parker and I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #122253). I am supervised by Mona Klausing, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA #101243).

I acknowledge that finding a therapist can feel overwhelming. Thanks for taking this first step and reading about my therapeutic approach and a little about me. I provide a culturally-sensitive, non-judgmental space that honors your experiences, knowledge and strengths to work on what you might currently be encountering  in life. Using Narrative Therapy practices and Solution-Focused foundations, I work in a collaborative and compassionate way that puts you at the center in order to support you and your goals.

I identify as a Latinx, cis gender woman, feminist, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ ally and spiritual. Before focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy, I earned a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies and worked for almost twenty years with students at a public university. All these aspects make me aware of the dominant societal structures, narratives, expectations and pressures that can impact your story and how you live it.

It would be a privilege to partner with you and build a relationship based on understanding, trust and respect. You are not the challenges that you are experiencing, nor are you defined by them. I look forward to supporting you as you write your story and build your preferred way of life.

I am currently welcoming appointments online. My standard fee is $80 per 45-minute session and I offer college students a discounted rate of $70 per session. If you would like to learn more about my practice, I invite you to contact me at 619-786-2086 or jennifer@monaklausing.com. I look forward to connecting with you!

It would be a privilege to partner with you and build a relationship based on understanding, trust and respect.
